Mainframe Model M117

The M117 Mainframe is a self contained unit that forms the basic component of the the Motor Analysis System. The mainframe contains the necessary power supplies, amplifiers , and logic that, when combined with the various test heads and probes, allow numerous alteration to the M117. The mainframe comes complete with the standard 7 foot cable that interfaces to all test heads.

M117 Complete Unit

                  M117 Specifications :

  •  Power required : 120 VAC (220 available) 220 VA maximum
  •  Size : 10 x 7 x 15 inches
  •  Weight : 26 lbs.
  •  Construction : 16 Gauge welded steel case in brown hammertone.

DC Armature Head Model H12

The H12 Armature head performs a 4 point AC variable frequency impedance test on DC armatures. The unit automatically selects one of over four thousand different frequencies and power levels to match the armature under test. This makes the operation of the H12 fast and easy. The test method permits accurate and repeatable analysis of most common armature problems such as shorts, opens, cross connections, partial opens, and shorts or misconnects, and allows with one head the detection of armature malfunctions that currently require several different setups. Armatures with equilizers and uneven terms are also easily tested.

                     H12 Specifications :

  • Power Required : Supplied by Mainframe.
  • Test Frequency : Variable from 100hz-5khz.
  • Maximum current output : 2.5 amps.
  • Self test mode : Provides functional test of the H12.
  • Operation : Fully automatic.
  • Construction : Cast aluminum housing.
  • .Readout : 30 segment solid state bar graph

Magnetic Head Model HE7

HE7

The HE7 allows testing of series fields, shunt fields, and interpoles. With the addition of the FPV2 probe and coil assembly, induction rotors may also be tested.

When used with the proper flux probe it is possible to test most coils in the machine without breaking the individual coil connections or isolating the coils from one another. The test is quick and conclusive as to the polarity of each coil and the flux generated by each coil relative to each other. Single term shorts and series fields and interpoles are quickly identified.

Since the HE7 supplies all impulse power to the fields being tested, there is no need to connect the fields to test panel or supply any power other than the 120 VAC to the mainframe. The HE7 come complete with FPH2 flux probe and all necessary cables.

HE7 Specifications :
  • Power Required : Supplied by Mainframe
  • Output : Unipolar pulse
  • Output Current : 40 amps (short circuit)
  • Pulse Width : 6ms and .5 seconds
  • Rep Rate : 10hz and 1.5hz switch selectable
  • Operation : Manual adjustment
